ERIN-- Tropical Fs Erin has formed over the Atlantic, miles west of Bermuda. This general motion is expected to continue with some decrease in forward speed during the next couple of days.
It will continue to move slowly westward and enter the Bay of Campeche in the southern Gulf of Mexico on Friday. We are still facing challenging forecast scenario, however, since the low did not rrin over the Caribbean, the more likely path is continued west or west-northwest movement across the southern Gulf toward Mexico.
Erin is drifting toward the west near 2 mph. It is not a threat to the U.S.

This band of DMC, with embedded intense convective cores, originated along a weak surface wind shift boundary where low-level frontogenetical forcing near the western edge of a southerly feed of deep tropical moisture was frin.
The storm's maximum sustained winds early Friday are near 40 mph (65 kph) with slow. The National Hurricane Center now gives the system a 50 percent chance of developing Thursday or Friday and a 60 percent chance for developing over the weekend. Dorian is expected to gain strength before reaching Puerto Rico on Wednesday where a hurricane watch is in effect before heading toward the Bahamas erun Thursday and Florida over the weekend.

Erin is expected to meander westward across the Atlantic Ocean for the next week but remain below hurricane strength, according to NHC forecasters. The position of the storm has been moved several hundred miles north, however, the newest computer models now show Tropical Storm Erin as a remnant low in a few days. Erin was centered about 45 miles 70 kilometers southwest of Brava and is moving west-northwest near 16 mph 26 kph.
Forecasters were closely watching the broad area of cloudiness and rain showers that make up the system in the northwest Caribbean. Eriin are no watches or warnings posted for this storm. Tropical Storm Erin is moving westward over the eastern Atlantic.
